Day 01, Wednesday :- Delhi /Jaipur

Place: Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station. Self report, by 1700 hrs at railway
station for traditional welcome & check-in formalities Time free for photo-shoot
with traditionally attired Palace On Wheels staff. Be escorted to your private
cabins by Saloon Attendant Choice to proceed to Bar Lounge for complimentary

Day 02, Thursday :- Jaipur Arrival (02.00 hrs. Departure 19.30 hrs) |

Royal Welcome by Elephants at the station & proceed for visit to St Albert
Museum, Pink City Palace & recently declared UNESCO World Heritage Site of
Jantar Mantar (sun Observatory) Photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace Of winds)
Afternoon excursion to Hill Fort Palace of Amber and enjoy ride up the steep
ramparts on festively decorated elephants Enjoy lunch in a restaurant ,located
in Fort premises Later discover the beauty of 16th century well preserved
Palace,with rare fusion of combined Rajput and Mughal architecture Time free for
shopping & return to train for onboard dinner. |

Day 03, Friday :- Jaisalmer (Arrival: 08.15 hrs. Departure 23.00 hrs) |
|
On Friday, the third day Palace On Wheels arrives at 06.15 hrs at Jaisalmer. At
0930 Hrs,proceed for walk through the 12th century built living Golden Fort
complex,standing at a height of hundred meters over jaisalmer town The fort
offers 99 bastions & is a splendid sight in the a fternoon sun. The fort is
entered through a forbidding series of massive gates leading to a large
courtyard Visit Patwon ki Haveli,one of the largest and most elaborate mansion
houses .-which is five storeys high & extensively carved. Nearby is located a
group of 15th century built Jain Temples,which are beautifully carved & have a
library hosting some of the oldest manuscripts of India. Return to train for
Lunch & rest. At 1630 Hrs proceed for excursion to Sam sand Dunes for Camel joy
ride & sunset photo shoot opportunity Later enjoy Cultural Program & Dinner
Night return to train & depart. |

Day 04, Saturday :- Jodhpur (Arrival: 07.00 hrs. Departure 15.30 hrs) |
|
Set at the edge of the Thar Desert, the imperial town of Jodhpur ,was founded in
15th century & echoes with tales of antiquity. At 0830 Hrs proceed for
sightseeing of 15th century built Mehrangarh Fort complex ,atop a rocky hill
which soars 125 Mts. above Jodhpur town The Palace complex it is approached by a
series of gateways set at an angle so that enemy armies could not charge,with
any success. Once past the Fort gates, you have access to breath taking Palatial
Apartments(Mahal) ,overlooking wide courtyards.Also visit the museum,having wide
& impressive collection of Royal dresses & Medieval weapons. Nearby the Fort
complex is located, late 19th century built Jaswant Thada,a cluster of royal
cenotaphs in white marble. Lunch at Palace Hotel Return to train & depart. |

Day 05, Sunday :- Sawai Madhopur (Arrival: 04.00 hrs. Departure: 10.30 Hrs) |
|
Moving on from the desert kingdom of Jodhpur, on the fifth day of the royal
retreat in Palace on Wheels you will be in Sawai Madhopur at 04.00 hrs. After
you enjoy the breakfast at the Castle Jhoomar Baori enter the Ranthambore
National Park with the adjoining Aravali and the Vindhya ranges. Your excitement
is bound to rise, as you get ready to visit another royal dignitary in his
kingdom.

Arrival Chittaurgarh at 15.30 Hrs
|
On the fifth day of the journey aboard the Palace On Wheels after a date with
the royal tigers at Ranthambore National Park, you arrive at Chittaurgarh at
15.30 hrs. The story of Chittaurgarh is a saga of valour, tenacity and
sacrifice. Chittaurgarh (also Chittorgarh) was sacked three times. The Fort of
Chittaurgarh is a treasure trove of history and offers to the traveller an
insight into the life of the Great Rajput rulers.

Day 06, Monday : Arrival Udaipur at 15.30 hrs
|
|
After onboard breakfast proceed to visit 17th Century built -- City Palace
complex ,standing on a rocky promontory with eleven constituent mahals
(palaces), balconies, towers and cupolas. Walk across to nearby located Crystal
Gallery, -personal collection from H.H. of Udaipur & later enjoy boat ride
around the world famous "Lake Palace Hotel" perched atop a small island in Lake
Pichola. Proceed for lunch to Palace Hotel. Time free to visit the Royal Gardens
at Saheliyon Ki Bari & return to train by 3 pm & depart. |

Day 07, Tuesday :- Bharatpur (Arrival: 06.30 hrs. Departure 11.45 hrs) |
|
Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is spread over 29 sq k.m.has been listed by UNESCO as a
world heritage site Not only is it house to more than 375 species of Indian
birds, but also attracts birds from places like Europe, Siberia, China and Tibet
Early morning 0630 hrs to 0800 hrs,enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through wetlands
of Keoladeo Ghana National Park Return to train for breakfast & depart.
Arrival Agra (Arrival - 14.30 Hrs) |

On arrival at Agra Railway station proceed to luxury hotel for lunch. Later
visit UNESCO World Heritage Site of Agra Fort,seat of mighty Mughal Empire from
16th to early 18th century. Now awaits for your arrival,the flawless beauty in
marble, one of seven wonders of modern world - The Taj Mahal,often referred to
as ode to love.Evening drive back to railway station to board the train.Dinner
on Board.

Early Mornning arrive at Delhi Safdarjung Railway station. Breakfast on board -

Meals : An exotic array of dishes to choose from - Continental, Chinese,

morning over a simmering hot cup of tea or beverage of your choice. Also

Restaurants : Two lavish and beautifully done restaurants; "The Maharaja"
and "The Maharani" serve mouth watering Continental, Chinese, Indian and
Rajasthani cuisines that would definitely make way to your heart through your
stomach.
Shopping : Certain handicrafts and other special items of Rajasthani
origin can be bought from State Govt. owned Emporia while you visit the places
covered by the Palace-On-Wheels.
Smoking : The Palace-On-Wheels is a no-smoking train. However, if you
wish to smoke, please contact your captain for guidance.
